Intilaaqah Syria
is a Shell sponsored initiative aiming to support and help young Syrian
Nationals who are interested in starting their own business, by providing
them with training & knowledge that could help them to start own business.
Intilaaqah Syria is
based on the Shell LiveWIRE Programme, an international initiative developed
by Shell and run in over 26 countries throughout the world. LiveWIRE is
currently available in over 12 languages and is accessed through workshops
and training, the Internet, other IT based products or though published
distance-learning products.
Intilaaqah Syria is
available free of charge to young people in Syria aged (18-32) and aims
to:
- Provide young Syrians
with the tools to develop their business ideas by offering personal
counselling and training;
- Raise awareness
amongst a broad section of Syrian youth, encouraging them to consider
starting up their own business and change mindset mentality about job
taking opportunities;
- Provide assistance
to those who are interested to take the option of starting up a business
by giving them the necessary training, mentorship and counselling;
- Give recognition
to those who have started up a business by means of award and competition
programme and incentive schemes;
- Demonstrate Shell
commitment to contribute to the sustainable development of the community
among which we live & operate.
Intilaaqah Syria provides
5 main services, free of charge, which are:
- Induction Training
and awareness raising workshops on:
- How to develop
business ideas and how to start-up a business;
- Entrepreneurship
development and job taking opportunities;
- Comprehensive training
in all aspects of running, setting up and managing a business;
- Professional guidance
and business counselling;
- E-Library and E-Business
Counselling;
- Access to "Intilaaqah
Annual Awards" to choose the best young entrepreneurs in Syria.
